A player who is left of the big blind can call the big blind, fold, or raise. A raise is equal to the amount the player before you bet plus the current governing limit. For example, in a no-limit game, a player to the left of the big blind might bet $4 and the player to his left calls the big blind. If the player to his left raises the pot, the other players may fold.

It is more passive than no-limit hold’em

In no-limit hold’em, there are two distinct types of players: aggressive and passive. Aggressive players bluff more often and don’t play as passively as passive players. Passive players tend to limp in pre-flop and check/call post-flop. They do not raise the action and are largely losing players.
